We finally branched out from where we've been skiing, and tried a new spot called Lövsta. Very different scenery, much more open, which was great until the wind kicked up. Some sections were so wind-blown, we couldn't even see the tracks from the person who passed us!
Also, we realize now that the "5K" trail we've been skiing at Rannåsen is really only about 3.2K, as we haven't been starting and ending at the Stadium, where it was actually measured from. So THIS 5K seemed REALLY LONG! Because it was actually 30% longer than what we'd been doing. Between that and the conditions, we were quite tired when we got done.
We did all of this except the small inner loop.
A different type of forest than at Rannåsen. More birch trees.
Get the kiddos involved early! I heard this mom say "If you get a little tired, just lay your head back and go to sleep!" She must have done the 10K loop, as she passed us shortly before we got back to the car.
Also more wide-open views. Many skiers are WAY faster than us...that guy went past like a shot!
But there was a section of woodsy woods, as well, One-way, one lane tracks.
There was similar signage where we started this trail.
I guess it's clear if you're used to it, but for a while we weren't sure we were on the right trail.
"Is it the 5K, or the 10K?" "Yes!"
You can't see the wind, but it was sure there!

It was a real slog from this point, so no more pics.
We'll have to try this trail again, knowing what we're getting into.
Lunch at Tage's, then home and hot showers for two tired skiers!
And of course, a little something for later!
A chocolate Biskvi for Lars, Kanelbulle for Sheila
